When the 2002ti had fuel injection it became a 2002tii. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-28-2005, 10:11 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 411 | Testes Included | | | 06-28-2005, 10:14 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Los Angeles Posts: 190 | lol, hilarious __________________ BMW 318ti M Body Kit, Future M3 engine swap My 318ti | | | 06-28-2005, 11:45 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | Trunk Impaired yeah, we've heard them all..its been covered in other topics;} __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | 06-29-2005, 12:45 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: New Jersey Posts: 363 | I know it is basically known that it is Touring International, but isn't the term "touring" used by BMW to describe the station wagons? As in 325iT? __________________ RIP Tonka Hitlerietta 08/03/04 - 01/25/05 | | | 06-29-2005, 01:42 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Los Angeles Posts: 190 | interesting point, hmmm, also i dunno anyone that's driven long distances in the TI, but i drive 100 miles to work round trip, and it's not exactly a vehicle i'd choose to "tour" anywhere in lol i know i know, it's a sacrafice for the good handling! __________________ BMW 318ti M Body Kit, Future M3 engine swap My 318ti | | | 06-29-2005, 02:49 AM | #9 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | i find mine quite comfortable and i drive probably 70 - 80 round trip to work. i've taken it on quite long trips and i like it. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 06-29-2005, 03:47 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Pismo Beach, CA Posts: 500 | Its the TI for Touring International, as stated..... And as also stated the Touring usually means wagon in BMW terms. Maybe in a sense, our cars are similar to wagons. Neither have trunks, they both have hatch backs. Maybe thats where the similarities lie. __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 06-29-2005, 03:51 AM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Puyallup, WA Posts: 14 | alaska or bust getting ready to drive mine to Alaska... | | | 06-29-2005, 07:40 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Portland, Oregon Posts: 484 | before the swap i drove my TI from portland to san diego and back __________________ S50 Swap, Euro 3.5" HFM (MAF), my custom Chip, Cosmo CAI, Custom Exhaust, 6 Cyl.
