There are alot of things that most people don't think about when buying a vehicle, First there is sales tax, then plates, then Full coverage insurance, maintance, gas. It all adds up quick, and plus loans Suck, calculate how much extra you will be paying for the car. I personally Drove beater cars till I saved enough cash to buy my Ti. I also make rounds through my room and garage, and see what I can sell, throw it up on ebay and save the $. I also buy things that I know I can resell for more, even if I will personally never use the item. Some of the things in the past are 2 sets of wheels, one for a S-10 pickup and one for a civic, between the 2 I made $400 profit. Also anything performance sells well on ebay, especially superchargers and turbos, if you have a local junk yard, stop in and see what they will sell you parts for, then check to see what stuff is selling for on ebay, if you can make enough profit to make it worth your time then go for it. | | | 10-22-2004, 06:18 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Lafayette, Louisiana, US Posts: 164 | Quote: Originally Posted by bmw///m3/// If you have AAA go through them or capital one. i think apr is 6.5% or so ive been told | not too too bad. can probably do better. i'll keep looking. thanks. | | | 10-22-2004, 06:24 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Lafayette, Louisiana, US Posts: 164 | the thing is that both of my cars are pretty much dead. you could say they're on their last leg, but that leg is broken. compound fracture. shattered into splinters. haha. enough with the horrible analogies. but i need some sort of transportation. i like in one of the top 5 largest cities in my state (behind new orleans and baton rouge). and i know that's still not that big compared to some states (tx, ny, etc). but i live just outside of town on the south side. and school is all the way on the very north side of town. there's no way really for me to get to school...then back to work on the south side...then home...without a vehicle. so this is really a RIGHT NOW factor. otherwise, i would be waiting. heck...saving that much money each month from insurance and gas alone would be fantastic. but i can't wait. thanks for looking out for me though. i appreciate it. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
