Engine Swap Transmission Question

Still in "consideration" phase....

A friend has a 98 328i automatic donor car available. If I were to consider swapping the M52 motor into my 99 ti would I have to locate a manual 328 transmission or will my existing transmission mate up to the M52 motor?

u can use ur stock tranny(getrag) or u can get the 328/m3 tranny (zf)
the stock tranny would hold the power no problem

hold on, im guessing ur TI is manual right?

any e36 tranny(manual or auto) is compatible with any e36 motor

Correct, my 99 ti is a manual transmission. The 98 328 donor car is an auto.
