He is an authorized reseller and a stand up guy who has installed too. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 12-23-2006, 07:48 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Its just as illegal to dodge the VAT from the US as it is from inside the EU..... Customs has no sense of humor. I'd suggest ordering all the system from DA if they will let you, except the blower. Then get teh blower in country used. That will drop the price a lot. The only thing i don't like is useing the old throttle cable. on a LHD car they supply the RHD throttle cable as it is longer and alows a nice routing of the cable. in a RHD car you don't get a longer cable (as the RHD one is the longer one) and you have to have it going accross the top of the engine. it works fine but i don't like the look of it. zip tie a bit of hose over it where it touches the valve cover for protection. __________________ Ian '97 Ti Sport DASC, TT S2, B&M SSk, x-brace, H&R coil overs & sway bars, Big brakes | | | 01-02-2007, 12:16 AM | #20 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: cork-ireland Posts: 10 | dasc thanks for that, will watch out for it. how would u compare it to the standard m44. | | | 01-02-2007, 12:32 AM | #21 | Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 90 | It's a huge difference in performance. very noticable. __________________ Ian '97 Ti Sport DASC, TT S2, B&M SSk, x-brace, H&R coil overs & sway bars, Big brakes | | | 01-02-2007, 01:00 AM | #22 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: cork-ireland Posts: 10 | dasc good ,, im lookin forward to it.too many 2.8s around here,,ha,ha. | | | 02-16-2007, 07:59 PM | #23 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: cork-ireland Posts: 10 | dasc okay folks, have in my possesion 1 brand new dasc kit, through the help of a great member,so will keep u all posted, hpe to have it installed within the next two weeks.thanks to everyone | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
