318Ti Radio issue

I have 1995 318Ti from USA and is currently in India. Yill Last year service, the radio was working fine. but, after the service, the radio is not accepting the code. Tried everything including running for an hr with radio powered on and entering the code. Pl help. No help from BMW in India

The mechanics probably had to disconnect the battery, and that's why your radio got reset.

Are you sure it's the right code? Was the code working before?

If you got a code from the dealership and it's not working, then there's nothing more you can do besides getting a new radio.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have the code (Original card with the code) and I have used this code whenever I changed the battery . I dont get the beep sound when I enter code, Do you think it is some signalling problem?

Whatever the problem is, it's inside the head unit. And those things aren't really meant to be serviced, so like I said, it'll be easier to replace it.

All this, just to keep people from stealing a 20 year old cassette player...

But 20 years ago it was a NEW cassette player... and in a BMW!!
