If BMW offers that car married with any of the 3 diesels in the article and keep it under $35000. I might be looking at my next car __________________ 318ti, sport, hellrot, 05/95 Munich, Germany | | | 05-03-2007, 07:53 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Wow, the pictures makes me sick. It is a shame people in the US hate hatchbacks for some reason. I think the 2dr hatch version is much better looking, as well as much more functional. The tii version also sounds very cool, hope they make it in a touring. __________________ Pete N | | | 05-03-2007, 08:08 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: SoCal Posts: 549 | The true disappointment comes from the fact that they dare call it an M1. __________________ 318Ti Sport (Gone, but thanks for your years of service) | M3 E30 | 190E-16V | M Coupe E36/8 | | | 05-03-2007, 08:16 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | Quote: Originally Posted by AutoM3otives The true disappointment comes from the fact that they dare call it an M1. | they dont, it's actually called an M2. thats an m version of the not yet released 2 series. so i've heard. __________________ E36 3.0 M3 Cosmos Schwarz E36 1.8 318ti Cosmos Schwarz | | | 05-03-2007, 10:44 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Quote: Originally Posted by cosmos schwarz they dont, it's actually called an M2. thats an m version of the not yet released 2 series. so i've heard. | From what I understand, BMW was going to differentiate the platforms based on the number of doors it had. 1er=3, 2er=5, 3er=2, 4er=4, etc. Obviously, that'd gone out the window. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 05-03-2007, 11:17 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Los Alamos, NM Posts: 344 | umm, I kind of like it. For the simple fact the “1 series” doesn’t look like a Jap car gives it an exquisiteness that is hard for me to deny. Of course I am speaking of the hard top because the soft top looks like hell. I think back about how the “2002” was criticized by people too. Another example: What about the Porsche 550 spyder? If it wasn’t for James Dean no one would have warmed up to that car either. __________________ 318ti, sport, hellrot, 05/95 Munich, Germany | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
