I had to remove the tint from the front windows when i moved to RI. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 09-23-2005, 02:33 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: PA Posts: 822 | Do 20% tint for the front and back windows. | | | 10-08-2005, 10:03 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Newcastle, England Posts: 71 | why dont you graduate it? black rear screen, next one up on the rear windows and 35% or 20% on the front. Remember that light reflects inside the car too so if you have a totally blacked out window i.e. the rear - it will give the appearence of the lighter ones being slightly darker even though they still letting the same amount of light through! depends on the colour of your car though - what will look good. | | | 10-08-2005, 03:10 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | Both my ti's have a graduatd tint. Tint percents indicate how much light passes thru. Personally, I don't like it too dark. My fronts are 50% and the rear and hatch are 35%. I think it's perfect, and I never had problems with the cops. Look at my gallery. My white ti is going on 10 years with no problems. __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 10-17-2005, 12:35 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Newcastle, England Posts: 71 | I like tylers tint - 35% all round! iv just booked mine in for 5 november to get a tint. I want to eventually get 20% for the rear and 50% for the windshield. It's just a matter of time before I get those 2 things done. But tint is mos def underrated. Not only does it help keep you from burning during the day and keeping your car cooler, it helps with headlights at night; whether its from the rear view and side mirrors or the lights from cars coming through rear window. __________________ ///M3 - 323i - 318Ti - Xterra | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
