Default woo, fire season is here..and the rains aren't

http://www.floridatoday.com/apps/pbc...WS01/705030352

1200 acres in central florida so far. + we get some of the smoke of the fire in Southern Georgia burning..so it's been either clean and clear air-wise, or feeling like your stuck in a BBQ with just the lingering smoke.

Nothing in Brevard yet. Last season we had 2-3 weeks of bad fires within a mile of me here in Port St. John's....even melted part of I95 in one area(well from a truck-fire from smoke that caused the wreck/fire)..although one night the whole eastern sky was glowing red/orange from a fire running the lenght of i95 durning the night, looked like a never ending sunrise, wish I had gotten pics of it.

Best of all. Our Rain season isn't to start til May 26th..and 'Cane Season June 1st...So we are pretty much high and dry til then.

It was pretty nasty in north Orlando this morning. I got up for my morning jog and was hacking by the 2nd mile. Just makes it nasty, humid and hazy.

No smoke or signs of fire in Broward today but it is still really dry here. We had a good shower yesterday but not enough to make a difference. I am moving soon so no hurricane season for me this year.

Good luck with the fires and the smoke near Orlando
