Wrenching is good for the soul and for the father-son relationship as well. What year is your ZHP? The slower the car, the better for the kid, I seriously believe that theory. | | | 04-28-2011, 08:10 PM | #3 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Congrats on your new addition and welcome to the site! | | | 04-30-2011, 01:09 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Eads, TN Posts: 14 | Thanks guys. The ZHP is a 2004 sedan . I got the 318ti delivered yesterday so hopefully I can get a list together of needed parts. It was in a mild fender bender on the left hand front I didn't see any damage on the inner panel or frame rail. I will try and get some pictures posted . | | | 05-06-2011, 07:10 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Eads, TN Posts: 14 | Well after replacing the steering rack and motor mount bracket I was able to drive the car for the first time last night . Car ran well and shifted smoothly . can't judge the handling because no rear shocks are installed ( picking up new Bilsteins tonight). Car seems to pull well I did notice when using the blower motor and with the lights on the engine loads up a little bit from the added load. I wonder how much the a/c compressor loads it up ? Anyhow after I install the shocks tomorrow I will let my 15 yr old (for whom I purchased the car ) take his first drive in it... | | | 07-17-2011, 03:07 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Eads, TN Posts: 14 | Dang this is getting addicting, just bought another 318ti . Give the cooling systems a good once over. Overheated ti engines can fail easily. Enjoy the cars! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
