Default Fuel Filter Relocation?

Hello,

I've decided its time to do something about the silly fuel filter location, Well my car being silly low is more to blame but it catches on various things and I'm sick of bending the bracket back and changing fuel filters, Question is do I need to use the BMW fuel filter I mean its huge?! I'm worried a smaller one might not do the same job they probably made it that size for a reason? has anyone else relocated be good to see where you moved it too etc!

Thanks in advance

You can purchase high quality high pressure fuel line. If the regulator is located with the fuel filter cut behind the regulator (From fuel tank) and install high pressure line then move the regulator/filter up under the steering box, finally cut the metal pipe going to the TB and make your connection using the high pressure hose. Also I would use two hose clamps at each connection to ensure no leaks.

When I had my DASC on my motor the metal lines were replaced with high pressure fuel line on both feed and return lines. I installed a fuel pressure gauge sender in the spot below the steering box. There was a lot of room in that area, more then enough to install the regulator and filter.

Best of luck, John S
