Default FEELER: '98 318ti M-tech 90k miles

Hello all,

I am just testing the waters here. I am currently looking for a new car (used 135i) and just wanted to see if there was any interest in my car. Mainly, I am trying to get an idea of how much it would go for so I can gauge a price for my new car. I you want to offer up suggestions or OBO - have at it. I am looking to turn it over in about a month depending on the 135i's I find.

Specs:
1998 BMW 318ti, 5MT with 90k miles
M-tech package
Hellrot with red millipoint interior
California Roof
Tires still have life in them
-------------
Bosal cat and Bosal Muffler
K&N Drop-in
-------------
Car fax will show it was in an accident last year - professionally fixed.
The SRS light is on due to a bad driver-side belt tensioner ($75)
Driver side door got keyed ($300 to paint)

Overall, I would rate it an 8/10 for the age of the car. Pictures attached to this post.

Thanks,
Dan

5k? Yikes, that may take awhile to get sold at that price. But to be honest, I would like to get 4k and was hoping that 4k was not shooting for the moon.

Anyone out there looking? Keep me in mind, its a solid ride that gets me to and from Birmingham and August all the time at 80 mph with 32 mpg.

I think it could sell for $4k easily on ebay if the interior is as clean as the exterior looks in those pictures.

Looks like my 1st.
Except I had a rear spoiler and lower lip.

What condition are the seats?
Auto or stick?

<smacks head> How could I forget - its a stick. Funny, that's is the one requirement for the 135i that cuts like 75% of existing cars out of the pool.

Seats: Passenger and rears are perfect. Driver seat has the ubiquitous BMW side bolster wear but in otherwise good condition.

Ya, I have been on there for about a year doing research. But it seems that the ones that are for sale are black and white (boring colors IMO). Now, I have enough saved up to purchase if I can get one in my price range. Its market is weird for this car. 2008 335i are going for 20-23k but a 135i is going for 27k-30k. But, no one is purchasing them in this price range and I cant find anyone willing to let one go for under 25k. That's why I am kind of flexible when I sell my car.

Responded to PM too. We will find a good time soon.

Default Interior Shots.

Since I am here and my son is watching A Charlie Brown Christmas I will toss some interior pics up. BTW, my son has kicked some scruff marks - that should be able to be removed - on the back of the passengers seat. I should point that out too.

Its kind of messy for me but its been cold and I have been lax with the upkeep.

You might consider a 128 Manual. I love my 128, but not as much as my old Ti. 230HP is plenty believe me...

I know the 1 series are great cars. I just need something with good fuel economy and character. Currently own a 323ibaur and 91 e30 m3 and love them. Thank you.
