Default front speaker noise

hey,

my front right speakers, on the doors, are acting up. when i am driving the car the speakers will make a noise, almost like the wire has been disconnected and then work very softly and with alot of static. After i heard the noise i put my balance and fader to the front right and turned up the volume. the speakers produced very little music in fact they were barely audible and static filled. When i moved the balance to my left speakers the music volume was almost unbearable. the odd part is that when the car is not running ( the key is turned but engine is off) the speakers work prefect.

this problem began a few weeks ago when a friend of mine sitting in the back seat asked me to adjust the balance (it was centered and i moved it slightly toward the front). I later center the balance but it appears that after this day the front speakers have not been working properly.

yesterday i removed the door panel hoping it was just a loose connection but every thing was in place firmly.

any ideas/suggestions/advice greatly appreciated,
rob
