Default Anyone here replaced your timing chain tensioner for your M44?

hi, i want to replace my timing chain tensioner. Mine is an m44. Is it okay to install it uncompressed? I'm not comfortable doing it compressed.

I saw this: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...d-New-Question

But most instructions are for m42. I'm wondering if anyone here has done the same for an m44.

Any advice would be great.
