If you put the carpet back in, how will you access the switch?
The carpet literally just pulls back and pushes back in so can just reach in and disconnect if I ever need to do any work which requires the battery to be disconnected, Or maybe If im going away or something might confuse anyone trying to steal it haha unless off course they are reading this

Well I'm just waiting on the m50 manifold fitting kit and then need to buy a clutch and it should hopefully be going in trying to replace as much stuff as possible before it goes in

Check to see if your m44 pulley is the same. The pulley on my m42 is metal

That's a good point ! After looking on Google I think they are different but searching that brought up this alloy pulley for the 6 cylinder engines!
It looks so cool! haha

M50 manifold is now fitted, annoys me that I'm missing a little cap from the fuel rail cover though haha but other than that pleased with how it looks, the fitting kit from m50manifold.com was also a brilliant kit made the swap much simpler

So finally some progress this week well if you can see it as progress lol
My MOT And Tax both ran out this week so decided now was a good time to start the engine swap!

I was really quite surprised at how easy the front end comes apart and the engine came out very easily, apart from snapped one bolt that holds the ARB which is going to be a pain, I think I'm going to have to drill the old bolt out and try to put another bolt in.

Also changed the gear selector seal on the 2.8 finally and got that all back together

All of the pulleys and the belt are now also back together after waiting for a metal pulley to arrive.

New rad and clutch also came and will be fitting the clutch later today hopefully, I'm also painted my engine bay up a little just so it matches the car and looks a little cleaner cutting some of the old brackets out to that are not needed now.

Will no doubt be a tonne of pictures to follow

Glad to see some progress=) How tight of a fit were those carrier bushings into the carrier itself and then the fit on the trans?
