Default What to do

I have a 1995 318ti with roughly 210k miles. I got the car with intentions to build with my 8 year old daughter and pass it down to her once she starts driving. I went and paid 200 bucks on a 1993 325is. My plan was to take the interior out of the 325 since it is black and put in 318. I am torn whether to build the m42 and turbo it or put in the 2.5. What other parts can transfer over to the 318 besides the front brakes?

IMO you got a lot of time before you daughter can drive the BMW, who knows what all could of changed in the next 10 years, who knows maybe she will hate it lol. ~ pure speculation on my part!

That being said I would feel more comfortable with a slow, reliable, efficientish, practical car for my child. So stock 318ti w/ m42> 2.5 (m50)

But it seems like you want to mod and put some power down .

Don't build the m42 its not worth it, for more potential, more reliability, put in the m50. Especially for the long term.

Off the top of my head not much swaps over, the front is the same, but there isn't much to swap over. Maybe someone else can add something else, but other then vented front brakes and m50 swap I think you got what needs to be worried about.
