How is it possible that I have been on this site since 2004 and never seen this fun thread before? While the public name for my car is (obviously) the "Budget M3", the car's private name is the "TiCK"

Ti with
Cali roof and
Kompressor (DASC)

My wife and I refer to the car as the, "ti", but for some reason when I took the car to the shop last week for a new radiator and plastic fittings, I referred to it as the, "blue bomber." It's moreagrun, by the way.

Mine has 'pyn' in the license plate, so I've affectionately named him, Pin .

What a fun thread. I rarely name any of my cars and it usually takes a while for the car to prove enough personality to deserve a name. Only two of my six E28s earned a name, Ol' Gray or the Gray Squirrel and the "Snob" which was actually named during the sale to the current owner.

The M5 is LCW or Long Cool Woman(in a black dress). And it's a long story but the Compact has ended up being called the "Roach".

Otherwise we simply call the current stable by their letters: ti, M, Z, and HD.
