 Broken bolt on thermostat housing
Was doing the ever-so-popular coolant system refresh/build when...
Time to remove the 4 bolts holding the thermostat housing on,
wait three bolts with one positioning pin,
no wait there are threads on this pin
crap I've got a broken bolt
guess I've got to remove the timing case...
However it didn't leak before with only 3 bolts but I think it was sealed by cooked oil and coolant oxidation.
Tried backing the stud out with 2 nuts, tried vise-grips... guess I'm going to have to remove the timing case to get it out now... |
