Exclamation hey question about 3rd gear

Hello guy's, I have a 1998 318ti Auto so I searched around the forum's but i didn't find info on my problem so ill just ask.
well wen I'm driving first and second gear are great but once i get to third my car seems to lag at around 4500 RPM's.
What can be the problem causing this?

It's known as the sport mode for our cars. It allows you to get higher RPMs before it shifts. Though, why are you driving in manual mode? It's really gas efficient and hurts the tranny. Unless you are racing. And if you are, don't let these guys know, otherwise they'll dip you in lighter fluid and spark a match.

From the e30 M3, evolved the e36.
They were "Keepin it Real" when they introduced the 318ti ClubSport in '95 and the 318ti Sports from '96 to '99.
After that... well nothing else really matters.

have your transmission fluid changed, I'm not 100% sure that will fix the problem but it sure can't be bad for anything
