However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off. To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9. Successive versions of Girlfriend proved no better. I tried a shareware program, Slapper 2.1, but it had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks. Eventually, I tried to run Girlfriend 1.2 and Girlfriend 1.0 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other they caused severe damage to my hardware. I eventually upgraded to Fiance 1.0, only to discover that this product soon had to be upgraded further to Wife 1.0. While Wife 1.0 tends to use up all my available resources, it does come bundled with FreeSexPlus and Cleanhouse 2005. Shortly after this upgrade, however, I found that wife 1.0 could be very unstable and costly to run. Any mistakes I made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0 's memory and could not be deleted. They then resurfaced months later when I had forgotten about them. Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary Explorer and E-mail filter, and can, without warning, launch TurboStrop and Multi-Whinge. These latter products have no Help files, and I have to try to guess what the problem is. Additional problems are that Wife 1.0 needs updating regularly, requiring ShoeShop Browser for new attachments and HairStyle Express which needs to be reinstalled every other week. Also, when wife 1.0 attaches itself to Saab Convertible hard drive, it often crashes. Wife 1.0 also comes with an irritating pop-up called MotherinLaw, which can't be turned off. Recently I've been tempted to install Mistress 2005, but there could be problems. A friend of mine has alerted me to the fact that if Wife 1.0 detects Mistress 2005, it tends to delete all of your assets before uninstalling itself. Help requested please! | | | 12-09-2005, 05:18 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Be careful, I've heard that FreeSexPlus is only a trial-version, and won't work after a certain period of time. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 12-09-2005, 05:55 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | Don't forget that after an as of yet undermined amount of time after running Wife 1.0 and FreeSexPlus, you may get a pop-up called Baby24/7 1.0 if you are not diligent about routinely installing your favorite pop-up blocker. This will effectively cancel your subscription to FreeSexPlus for about a year. Those with the robust version of FreeSexPlus may not see any discernable interuption in service, but that is not the norm. Not that Baby24/7 is bad. On the contrary, it can be the most rewarding software experience of you life, but is does require constant monitoring to realize it's full potential. __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 12-09-2005, 05:59 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Malden, MA Posts: 672 | If all esle fails, you can always just install Wife 1.0 ver.2, i've heard that this program in conjuction with QuikenPreNup Express 2.5 has had much success when installed on the hard drive. You should also consider AssetBlocker 5.0 for the ultimate in reasurrence. But you should always have a backup, I have GirlNextDoor 2005 on my PDA! Completely happy with the results. __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 12-09-2005, 08:07 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | LOL- Funniest thread ever on ti.org! __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 12-09-2005, 08:20 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Virginia Posts: 247 | FreeSexPlus stops working after 6-12 months, and Cleanhouse 2005 only works if you install the patch Fixthis 1.1, and then you still get annoying error messages... __________________ Silver 98 318ti Standard trans, Sport Package: 16" Stock Wheels, Foglamps, Sunroof, Heated Leather Seats, Bilstein performance shocks, OEM Sach's clutch kit, Dunlop SP Sport A2 225/50/16 tires, Alpine CDA 7894, Dual Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, Rockford Fosgate Amp, Leather Armrest, Replaced M44 engine with only 40k on it! http://www.geocities.com/evalha/bmwsmaller.JPG | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
