19" are way too big for an E36, I'd say 18"s are the max but some people think even those are too big

You can buy light 18's... the 19's I run on my E46 are only 20 or 21 pounds. I will be running 18's on my S50 ti as 18's will be needed to clear the brakes.

Thanks, but I think you are in Cali? the shipping wouldn't be worth it for me.

I'd like to get 17"s, but this car is not my #1 priority so I won't spend big bucks on it unless its dirt cheap, I have 4 sets of 19"s kicking around, going to try it out and see how ridiculous it looks!

I'd love to slap some ACS Type 1 on it, but I think the wheels will be worth more than the car.

Got the coils today, good thing I went home for lunch so I don't have to pick them up at postal office later.

Now the car has a whiny transmission issue when its cold, along with a strange oil leak that I can't find, have to figure out when bringing it into the shop.

next up, M3 bumper.

Sorry for the late update, just got the brakes and coils on at StanceFactory, had to get bearings too at the same time, so now no more solid discs up front, got a little bit of a rake going here.

Sorry for the lack of updates, work and other cars took up quite bit of time, right now, M52 is in, straight pipes after mid-section, and it's a freaking blast to drive with the 3.45 LSD.

Also bought Racing Dynamics 17x8 RGR wheels for it.

Very nice. Looks like a clean swap. Post up some pictures with the RD wheels when you get them mounted.

The RD looks banged up right now, lots of curb rashes so I need to refinish them first, but my wife likes it since it looks like what's on the car right now except in 17"s.

The swap took a LOT longer than expected mainly due to engine seller's mistakes, I bought an engine as a whole or so I thought, until he said if I wanted power steering lines, steering pump, other misc bits are extra after he dropped the engine off.

That is pretty standard. If you buy a complete engine from the dealer it does not even come with an intake manifold. Sellers generally charge extra for accessories if they have them. This is part of the reason that buying a wreck is such a good way to go if you are considering a swap... you will have everything you need.
