Look like a good car. Won't excite many people on this board though as it is automatic. __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 04-06-2009, 02:33 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: The Atomic City Posts: 318 | I agree. Gee Whiz - Just how many times do you have to sell something on ebay (with all those non-paying bidders and such) before it is really sold? This is the 3rd time this car is being listed (not the sellers fault I assume). It has already been sold twice before, maybe the 3rd time will be the charm! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...3A1|240%3A1308 And here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...3A1|240%3A1318 | | | 04-06-2009, 09:44 PM | #6 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | I don't know about it being wonderful for a teen-ager, or for anyone's first car. The rationale being that a first car is generally abused more than subsequent cars as the owner learns how to drive. I think a better first car is something cheap and expendable. Yes, I know that "cheap" is a very relative term and one mans "cheap" is another man's "Oh my gawd, it costs HOW much?" heh heh __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! I'm quite sure the non-paying issue can be a problem. As far as a good car for a first time driver? True, it's all relative. My first was a 71 Triumph TR6 followed 8 months later by a 65 Mustang (289 4V + 150HP NOS). My 16 year old wants a Too Fast & Too Furious (LOL) Eclipse with 47 colors & a 5 foot wing. That will lead to all sorts of mischief so you'd definitely be better off with an expendable first car, and save the 318ti as an incentive of some sort. heh heh heh __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Slow. As long as dad helps out with the expensive maintenance of the fussy front end and oil and coolant leaks! __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 04-07-2009, 12:56 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by b.u.ti-ful I think it is a good car for a young person. LOL I had bid on it, but didn't win. No big loss, as it was "feeling" fishy. Shill bidding? Hard to say for sure. I am always very cautious of anything on ebay, just my nature.
