I have the original 5 spoke 17" wheels on my 318ti sport E36. I assume they are a 41 offset? I am running H&R coilovers set fairly low. I am looking to buy CSL copies which are 18x8.5 40 offset for front, and 18x9.5 45 offset for rear. Will these still clear the guards inside & out? Thanks in advance. If you want a 255/35 on the rear, you MAY need a roll, but that depends on how low you are. I never needed it and i went up to a 285/30 __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-14-2011, 02:01 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Australia Posts: 5 | Thanks for the reply. I was planning to run 225/40/18 on front and 245/35/18 on rear. Do you think this would be ok? | | | 08-14-2011, 06:15 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Youll be fine __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-15-2011, 12:00 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Australia Posts: 5 | Thanks for your help Bluebimma | | | 10-07-2011, 08:58 AM | #6 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: san diego Posts: 97 | ive got another question about 18s. i have a chance to get a free set of style 269s. 18.7.5 f, tires on the rims 215/40-18 18x8.5 r, tires on the rims 245/35-18 Im dropped on RD sport springs, drop is about the same as the HR sport springs. would i have to roll the fenders or do any other modification to the car or suspension to get the rims to fit? __________________ 96ti. k&n intake, racing dynamics sport springs, koni yellows, DJ auto head lights: cut off mod, frenched high beam ellipsoids, 5k HIDs, Frenched fog lights with 3k HIDs, style 104 rims, blacked out grilles, smoked clear corner lights, side markers, tail lights | | | 10-07-2011, 10:49 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Louisiana Posts: 1,093 | If they free I'll buy them from you lol . If they're free and have tires already on them I'd just take them and try for yourself, then just sell them if they don't fit | | | 10-08-2011, 02:46 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: san diego Posts: 97 | thanks for the info. They are the optional performance rims for the 1 series. my brother bought some new rims and is giving these to me. they have new tires and dont have a scratch. im just worried a bit about my acceleration __________________ 96ti. k&n intake, racing dynamics sport springs, koni yellows, DJ auto head lights: cut off mod, frenched high beam ellipsoids, 5k HIDs, Frenched fog lights with 3k HIDs, style 104 rims, blacked out grilles, smoked clear corner lights, side markers, tail lights | | | 10-08-2011, 10:54 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | it may make it a little bit slower but it won't be all that bad, I have one ti with 18"s and another with 16"s and the difference isn't that bad. granted the one with 18"s has a performance chip, intake and exhaust so that probably helps | | | 10-09-2011, 04:27 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Hell, if you dont want the rims, send them my way __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 10-10-2011, 12:03 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Beaufort, SC Posts: 298 | Bluebimma>>> what size rims and style are the rims you have in your sig. Theyre likely 40 because its for winter with 245s on all four cars of an m3. Also theyre likely 8" wide but could be 9" Install them with 225/40 or 245/35 Mine are 18x9 et 30 all around with 245/35 and 285/30 __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 10-10-2011, 04:26 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Beaufort, SC Posts: 298 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma Check the offset of those, they are either 40 or 20.
