while your at it, pull the pan an put a new pan gasket plus safety wire the oil pump pulley.

I remember reading about a oil pump on pulley issue. Just couldn't remember which motor had that problem.

Is the S52 oil pan different than a M52 pan? You know what I am thinking...

Very slightly. 0.5L capacity extra for cooling. S52 might hit the anti roll bar. We ran into that issue when putting an S52 into our 318is lemons crap car. It was actually hitting the sub frame and the anti roll bar.
