Default M Steering Wheel

So, I have sort of been looking at M steering wheels for a while and somehow, nobody noticed this awesome deal:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=280380120743

That's right, I just bought an M3 3-spoke wheel with airbag (and stupid M decal that's getting removed ASAP) for $120.

And I got $8 cashback from Microsoft Bing search and $2 back from eBay.

AWESOME!!

meh. if i was looking for one i would've spotted it long time ago and not said anything. lol. but i got a 3 spoke euro steering wheel better with the tri-color stitching.
anyway, awesome deal. those things go for $300+ sometimes which is rediculous for a used/old wheel IMO. Does this have the plug for the horn?

Nice! That's a great find.

I'm lusting of a RAID wheel personally. http://www.bigbendmiataclub.org/miat...teer/newdh.jpg they retain the airbag and look/feel amazing.

Seems pretty hard to get one though! I can't find them! Just saw one on a Miata once and feel in love.

It does have a horn plug in. It should be 100% compatible with the current slip ring. How much was your euro wheel?

sweet deal, not a fan of the US-spec 3-spoke wheels but for that price I think I could make do

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt there something in the column that has to be changed as well? I have a 4spoke M wheel/slipring, but i need an airbag, and i understand that part of the column has to be changed with it?

1995 and earlier can accept 1995 M3 and earlier wheels with no modifications. 1996 they changed the slipring design and all e36 1996+ wheels/bags fit with no changes.

You will have to splice your horn and airbag wires. Check http://home.earthlink.net/~frankie66...eringwheel.pdf

I'd love to see a 3 spoke, E46 wheel (with audio/cruise controls on wheel) installed on a ti.

Looks like you can install the E46 wheel but the airbag and buttons won't work without some major modifications.
