I had to swap some very worn brake pads for worn brake pads today.

While under the car I noticed the post cat O2 sensor wires touching the cat. Fixed that.

One of the pre O2 sensors was loose. Tightened it up.
One of my header bolts completely spins. The other header has a stripped stud with no bolt.

I'm going to have the oil suction tube replaced.
Do the headers have to be loosened to raise the engine to get the oil pan off?

Does a 1996 M52 have bolts or studs connecting the exhaust manifold to the exhaust?

Default fuse 40 diag connector?

Where is fuse #40?
Not the #40 which would be power seats.
There is another #40 powering the diag port <I think>.
Bentley said under the dash.
I removed the bolster but only found a relay.

I'm still hunting down why my precat O2 sensors are throwing fault codes even though they are within spec.

Can't reset the CEL.

I still can't communicate between by OBD-II BT to smartphone.
I'm wondering if it's a problem with my diag port cap.

Looking at the schematic, I have continuity between pins 2 & 17.
Pins 15 & 20.
Pins 14 & 15 appear to be open instead of 820 ohms.

Can someone measure the resistance between pins 14 & 15 in the cap?

Still doesn't solve my O2 faults.
I'm just wondering if I have multiple problems.
Or maybe something is wrong with my diag port?

Bought my care with diag fuse blown from previous person bad stereo install.
They aslo killed interior lights, mirrors etc, think it was 3 fuses altogether.

They thought they messed it up bad and sold it, I replace gas cap, got rid of cel, installed good fuses, got everything else working and love the car ever since
