I've just swapped inserts, so I need a replacement set to keep in the trunk. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 01-10-2006, 07:31 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | I bought the Bosch blades during the summer,i'm not sure if they are silicone though. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 01-10-2006, 08:27 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | I have some Bosch Edge Excel's but I don't thnk they're silcone. Come to think of it I can only remember turning them on four times since I have had my car! If I can find just the insert for the Icons, I'll give it a shot. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 03-10-2006, 03:38 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: bris Posts: 287 | Hey guys, I have been having problems with my wipers. They just smear the water over the screen, also, the whole insert doesn't make contact with all the glass as it travels back and forth. The wiper inserts have been replaced. It is almost like the wipers have made an 'imprint' on the glass since whenever there is water on there you can see where the wipers travel quite clearly. I have opened the bonnet accidently while my wipers were up once, but it only hit one of my wipers and it didnt look i did any damage, and since both my wipers are having problems i don't know what is wrong. Is it possible my windscreen is out of shape or 'worn'. Can the wipers be adjust lower so they push harder on the windscreen to stop the wipers missing bits. And finally, i have a look at one of the inserts and its is not sitting on the track on one of the points. I can't work out how to get the damn thing off to align it completely, I'm a noob i know. all help appreciated, since its been raining alot here recently this is begining to piss me off! My wipers used to be perfect and i don't know why they have deterioted to complete crap | | | 03-10-2006, 03:49 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | PIAA silicone blades, 21" aerofoil on the driver side, 20" regular silicone blade on the passenger side. They are chatter free and very smooth. I also have regular BOsch excels on my other 318ti, and I had issues with chattering till I really cleaned the windshield and put rainex on. Afterwards, also smooth as silk. __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 03-10-2006, 03:50 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: bris Posts: 287 | thanks for the reply.
