ARE YOU PARTING out the whole car btw? ?? i need a TON of parts, and i would think that a 97 would be the same as my 98. i need a door, floor mats, interior items, bumpers, trim, umm.. a ton of other stuff.. let me know. i will come pick it up, im only about 50 minutes away, so no problem. also, the suspension is "M-Sport" what does that mean? haha.. i might take that whole set you have, i bent my right control arm (AGAIN) so i can probably pick up everything cheaper then just the cost of that arm. ehh, i will probably take the brakes too.. | | | 12-14-2008, 03:59 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA Posts: 56 | Quote: Originally Posted by hotmilk400 hey, thanks jess for the link. if you have the cat that fits a 1998 318ti, i need a price right away. i need the cat as soon as possible. i have two other people that gave me offers, but one person is in NJ, and the other is in PA but has a steeper price. just email me a price, and the first possible day i can come pick it up. i need it as fast as possible. will the cat pass inspection? also, can i get the O2 sensors as well. The cat will pass inspection as long as there is nothing else wrong with your car (such as a bad MAF). I just unbolted the converter from the car so I think that both oxygen sensors are still on the pipes. I also know that the converter is not the original one as it was replaced under warranty while the last owner had the car. As far as the suspension goes, my 97 ti had the factory M-Sport package with the sport suspension and M3 type body moldings, etc. When I did the swap, I used the donor car's front suspension and a M-Roadster rear suspension. The only thing that I re-used from the original setup was a new set of Bilstein Sport shocks that I had just installed. If you have a non-sport suspension car, this would be an easy upgrade since I have struts, springs, and sway bars and the only thing you need to get is a couple of rear shocks. The front control arms are not for sale since I need them to repair a 328i, sorry. I will send you a PM with my phone number so we can talk about meeting up. __________________ Philadelphia Region SCCA Autocross/Rallycross 97 M3ti 11 Jetta Sportwagen TDI 94 Mazda Miata R | | | 12-14-2008, 04:08 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA Posts: 56 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bobbak are you giving away the entire dash or just the center console where the shifter and the cup holders are? | I've got the whole dashboard itself, not the console. I would prefer not to ship anything since most of the stuff I have is heavy and/or big and would be a real PITA to box up and send. If someone "really" wants something sent to them, I can see what I can do as far as boxing and shipping __________________ Philadelphia Region SCCA Autocross/Rallycross 97 M3ti 11 Jetta Sportwagen TDI 94 Mazda Miata R | | | 12-14-2008, 07:40 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | Quote: Originally Posted by autoxerwgn I've got the whole dashboard itself, not the console.
