Also don't buy the ebay cabin filters, I did and in the end they didn't fit. Good luck it's pretty easy reaching the screws may be the hardest thing. | | | 11-04-2008, 01:13 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Peoria, IL Posts: 256 | They are right behind the engine. Just pull that long plastic box off in the center of the fire wall that covers the wires and they are right behind there along the fire wall. __________________ | | | 11-04-2008, 02:40 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | this is one of the hardest things i had to replace on the Ti it was so not worth it at all! __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 11-04-2008, 03:09 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by M3_KILL3R this is one of the hardest things i had to replace on the Ti it was so not worth it at all! | Difficult yes, but necessary. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 11-04-2008, 03:11 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | I don't think it was difficult getting to the bolts was the hard part. | | | 11-06-2008, 12:09 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Peoria, IL Posts: 256 | I thought this was pretty simple. I've had the cover off so many times you would have thought i would have replaced them by now. I just shook em a little and put em back. __________________ | | | 11-06-2008, 12:13 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Quote: Originally Posted by TI-driftin I thought this was pretty simple. Unless your filter is just black and there is no way to clean them. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 11-06-2008, 01:57 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Quote: Originally Posted by elchicano318ti Welcomne to the forum. They don't snap in like the OEM ones, so I had to glue one in, but didn't have time to do the other. So now I"m driving around with one filter __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. There are some on ebay that are $9.95 for the pair, like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...Q5fAccessories or these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-C...Q5fAccessories then there are others that are more inline with what I would expect to pay on ebay ($25-30 a pair). FCP Groton sells some on ebay and they have a BMW part number: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-C...Q5fAccessories I've ordered other parts from FCP groton before for Volvos, VW's, and BMW's and always found their stuff to be either exact OEM equipment or from OEM suppliers. I was looking at these same ones for my BMW, but just wanted to make sure these weren't the ones you happened to buy. | | | 11-30-2008, 04:40 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | I definitely ordered one of the first two, I'm not sure which. I would go with the third if I were you. From what you said, they'll be what they should be, not crap like I got. __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS.
