Default Window tint

Hi guys,
I have a question about how much it should cost for tinting my ti all 5 windows. I ask one shop around here, he said $225 for carbon film (lifetime warranty) Is that a good price?

I would say that is a decent price for up north but down here in Florida it might be on the high side but still not too bad

I have received prices for mostly $150-$170 and most everyone uses 3M or Solarguard and has a lifetime warranty on material, not sure of labor. The one shop that blew the curve and offered more options topped out at $240 for all ceramic tint which has no metal and so will not reduce your cell phone or laptop reception. My mech warned against tinting reducing radio reception but because our antennas are not buried in the glass, that seemed misinformed.

i have 15% chameleon all the way around - car cost ~200$ to do but alot of that was absorbed by the actual cost of the tint (twice the cost for chameleon film)

I prefer llumar film. Nationwide lifetime warranty on the tint and labor. You can take it into any authorized llumar dealer and they will strip the old tint and replace it at no cost to you. I've actually had to use the warranty before. The original shop that installed the tint didn't want to do the warranty work. So I called llumar, they told me who was the regional distributor, I went and saw that shop, and they ok'ed another shop replacing the tint. Usually they ask that the company that originally did the work also do the warranty work.

Never, ever, use Precision Tinting in Longwood Florida. The guy is a crappy tinter and doesn't stand behind his work.

Hi Ada, the going rate for tint in MA is $175 to $275 depending on what kind of quality on the tint and workmanship.

Suntek is still a fairly new company for tint. I would go check out the tint jobs at this shop first. If they do a good job then go for the $150 job.

I got my tint done for 150. All 5 windows and the strip across the front windshield. He did a really good job and even retinted one of the windows for free since the tint got scratched. Mine is 10% in the front. 5% in the back.

Here's some of the job they've done.
I'll drop my car off tomorrow. Hope it will come out good.
