They look really good in the pictures. It looks just like paint. Imagine trying to get rid of all the air bubbles though as you're applying it!

I hope I'm not pointing out the obvious, but that looks like the wraps that buisnesses, etc. use on their fleet vehicles for advertising. It just doesn't have anything printed on it. Fastsigns can wrap your car for you, probably in whatever color you want.

The article says it's made by 3M. It can't be much different than that stuff as it looks from the photos to be some sort of shrink-wrap vinyl film. Check out this 3M link. They sell all kinds of cool stuff for automotive graphics.
