Default Advice on a rear spoiler

Hello, I have a 1998 318ti and I am thinking of putting a rear spoiler on my car. I am not sure on how big I want the spoiler to be and I have no idea where I can find one. I'm not really experienced with the whole modification thing so I want some advice before I go out and spend money. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can look for a good rear spoiler that would fit my car?

That would look really cool on my car, but is there a website I can purchase it on?

^^^Oh god, that wing is ridiculous.

Op, have you considered perhaps lowering your car and getting wheels and tires before installing something that screams LOOK AT ME!!!? Seems this is pretty common mistake with the kids on these boards, the problem is that yeah people will look at you, and when they see your otherwise stock car with a retarded looking wing or some ricer mod, they'll just laugh. Perhaps a few performance mods that would actually necessitate a spoiler. Unless of course you're just looking for a lip spoiler, which would be strictly cosmetic, that would be cool.

I wanted to add something to my car and most of the people that I asked this question to told me that I should add a spoiler. This is my first car and I have like no experience with modifications, so I really have no idea what to do. Thankyou for the advice, no one has suggested that to me yet.

Default spoiler

I have the one from Bavarian Autosport and I honestly think it comes closest to the Mtech spoiler...and also compliments the car without looking ricey. About $400.

My UUC m3 rep:

Nearly done with it(70%).
As you can see in the pictures, it's not completely stable near the antenna.

Patty:
There are many mods you can go for, but first you need to figure out what it is YOU are looking for as an end result:

1) Aerodynamics = M Tech Bumpers (Front and Rear) M3 mirrors, M Tech moldings, M Tech (318ti) Rear Wing, ACS (e46) Rear wing, ACS 3 pc (318ti) wing.
Of course all of these will come up to a bit of money....

2) Suspension = H&R Springs, Coil Overs, 17x8.5 wheels, X brace...

3) Engine = Intake, Exhaust, DASC, or Swap s50 or s52...

it would be up to you and your budget...

first mod, remove the cheap, plastic dealer license plate frames, those never look good

as for a spoiler, it's up to your taste

BMW ///M-technic:

AC Schnitzer 3-piece:

Hartge: (discontinued so good luck finding one)

Hamann:

custom-fit wings are the only option on these cars since there's not a lot of universals that will fit, FYI, the one posted by Maverix is made for an E36 coupe or sedan, and will require extensive modification to the mounting brackets to fit
