Default 98 e36 carbon fiber steering wheel info?

Will this wheel off of a 1998 E36 3 Series fit onto my 96 318Ti and swap my air bag over? Looks basically the same.

THX Looks about the same, know which model this one came on?

I was thinking about getting the leather parts covered in Black Alacantra suade or whatever however you spell that, and Blue/Red stitching to boost the M theme on this car, I plan on getting Black Vaders from A M3 with the M color stripes and want to restitch the seams myself in red/blue combo also.

Yoda says it came from a Kit that was made for E36 in the late 90's.
The guy I bought it from said it came off of his 1998 328is.
Also the date stamp is 1998 even before the E46 came out right. probably just part of the part number.
I have yet to install it but it is exactly the same size as stock, well it is a stock steering wheel and I do not think E46's came with this type wheel so it confuses me a little but it should fit right in.

BTW you ride looks & sounds sweet in your sig.

I should be preparing for my s56 swap but the stock steering wheel is just to worn and sweat melted the leather from the previous owner. I just end up buying a lot of parts and nick nacks like this which end up piling up until I install everything at once.
Still waiting on my OEM M3 front bumper and under tray and few other parts before installing. Covering my Roof-liner and A pillars with dry 2K Carbon Fabric
without any epoxy for a nice dry look.
