Default S44B20

anyone know anything about these?? I had never heard of them, then i found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M44

S44B20

BMW S44 engineA racing version of the M44, called the S44, was used in 2 litre touring cars. It differed by having individual throttle bodies for each cylinder and its capacity was enlarged to 1999cc. In this guise the engine produced nearly 300 bhp.

there is a picture on the article. I've looked around my fair share for one. i think it'd be pretty sweet to have. no results.

bhp = base horse power, aka crank horse power as opposed to wheel horse power (whp)

There is a guy over on bf.c who created his own S42/S44

IIRC driveline losses are 20%, so you are looking at 240whp(wheel horse power)

I've very well aware of it. Just wondering how a m44 would fair against a s44.

there is huge confusion here... S44 doesn't exist. Only the S42 exist. There aren't S44s parts in BMW motorsport parts catalogue, there aren't race omologation with that engine's name in all the world
The man who wrote that on wikipedia caused all this confusion. REMEMBER that wikipedia is not always correct.
