We've got factory header pipes. It's a kind of exhaust manifold yeah. I usually think of it like...A header is an exhaust manifold, but an exhaust manifold isnt necessarily a header.

I bet the aftermarket has a deeper louder sound though. I really want to get it so I can complete my Supersprint exhaust. How about if everyone here on the forum buys one, then we could probably get a group buy on them for like $200-$400?

Let's try to get this started, if more people post here then I will try to find someone to do this for us and start a new thread. I tihnk I know who to ask, it's the same guy that I bought my tires and resonator from. He is starting his own bmw business and starting it up soon. He owns a 318is and is going to have Supersprint products and will probably help us.

LOL I was wondering the same thing...

If no one has noticed... that header is either a reversed image, is not the picture of the one for our car, or is just made really really wrong. The head flange on the header for our cars is on the passenger side. That header has the flange set up as if our exhaust ports were on the drivers side.

I would argue that it's headers, only because while it is only one unit, I believe that each pipe on the exhaust manifold classifies as a header, therefore giving us 4-2-1 piping, making it headers.

But I still say exhaust manifold.

It's a mirror image.

those supersprint headers are crazy expensive and apparently only offer a marginal high RPM horsepower gain with a loss of low end torque. I don't even think it's worth it man
