Yeah, the intake has to come off, so I would bring it to a shop if you don't have the tools or diy know-how. It's not a huge or terrible job, but I wouldnt drive it at all until fixed. These engines don't take overheating well. __________________ Vince Carknard 1995 318ti Active Hellrot, 16" 5 spoke, "Fogged" airbox mod, Stromung exhaust, Bilstein Sports, BMW sport springs, 3.73lsd, others... | | | 01-12-2006, 06:53 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Engine coolant has a unique "sweet" smell. Does that sound about right? With the engine cold, you can probably add UV reactive stuff, run the engine (ONLY UNTIL YOU GET TO 1/4 HEAT) then shine a blacklight around the engine bay to look for leaks. You guys need to stop picking on this kid, and kid, you've got to stop taking things so seriously. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 01-12-2006, 12:40 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | My car is currently parked in the very front of my drive way. I cant stand seeing my car sitting there without be driven this sucks. I barely get my system too, i havent really herd not 1 song all the way, i keep chaning songs and cds and diff type of music to really hear how everything sounds. Which songs should i higher the bass and what song to higher the treble, etc. Well i think the problem is a hose. I was looking at the engine and i noticed that the anti freeze was spilled in the engine *forgot what part of the engine* so its just the hose. Now my dad says hes gonna fix it until next weekend which sucks hard. We also own a tow truck, so hes gonna tow it to his job and fix it next weekend i guess, ima try and see if he does it this week. Im currently driving a 2003 Ford F-150. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | 15mm pad install problem | hotdog19d | Suspension | 11 | 04-29-2005 04:42 AM | |
