15 years later and I still love the e36. 12 years for the compacts, but who's counting, lol. From what I've seen, people either love the Ti or they hate it. Some even love to hate it as if it makes them feel better about themselves for some reason. Although I never really warmed up to the e46 and newer models, including the Ti's, they kinda grow on you. Especially knowing that my 10 year old Ti is starting to show it's age with the usual symptoms of a higher mileage vehicle.

It's kind of like at the beginning of the semester, when you look around your classes and check out the girls. You always have atleast one first pick and a few secondary choices. And then there's the one girl who sits in front of you everyday in Philosophy that's borderline F'able. As the semester progresses, you start to notice little things about her that make her more attractive. Before you know it she's hot, but hasn't changed since the first time you sat behind her in class and asked for her empty Sobe bottle to spit your chew in. The hot chick that you thought was the superbiscuit at the beginning of the semester turns out to be a slut and after you dump her, the Philosophy chick with the nice ears and ankles gives you her number and invites you over for some freakyness.

Strange analogy, I know, but that's how I feel about the newer Bimmers. Lol.

Veeeeeeeery niiiiiiiiice.

JK. I know what you mean. I miss that chic too. Nape of the neck always got me. Pheromones were probably part of the story too. . .

Re: new BMers. It's simple. They're fat.

I wonder if there's any personal experience being shown in this story.. lol, but so true.. I use to dislike the E46 style, but now I wish there were an E36/E46 Hybrid look, because now I love both the E46 and E36 styles. Guess I can't have both right?

Wow, Jesse... that's messed up haha. But very funny. Especially because I watched Clueless for the first time tonight.

I think the E46 is amazingly beautiful, and the E90s look great too. They are fat though, but it's ok. As long as the new 1 series makes up for it... small cars are the way to go and with Gov't regulations requiring ridiculous safety requirements for regular manufacturing (Lotus is not even exempt anymore), the weight of vehicles has nowhere to go but up. Look at the new MX-5's weight... way higher than the original 2000 lbs.

nice story jes!!

IMHO bmw quit making attractive cars at the end of the e46 run. there best cars range from the release of e21's-e46. early 80's to mid 00's after that, all there cars resemble their japanese competitors...:dunno

Far from new...they quit making the E46 compact in `04. While I didn't like the front end, the rest was great (especially the interior and plethora of engine choices). You could load it up like a normal E46 with nav, smg (only 325ti), m-tech etc. or go for a diesel and so on.

I agree the front looks like a want-to-be Jag.
