I can't find the the wheel itself, but it was sold by Bekker Imports and Turner, the latter still has the other parts...but you would have to do a "dash-swap" (e36 sedan dash) to have them installed on the Ti. They are quite pricey as well...The kit itself was very expensive back in the day. And to answer the question....YES these were modified OEM wheels. __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 04-26-2010, 07:41 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | Quote: Originally Posted by yoda If you go to turnermotorsport.com and look at their (e36) interior carbon fiber stuff you'll find the other parts of the kit this wheel was part of. This piece was probably worth the most out of the whole kit, considering the center console bezel is running $717 bux! This wheel might be worth over $1000 new?? | | | 04-26-2010, 07:59 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Central Florida Posts: 678 | Quote: Originally Posted by JunpoweR Thank you so much for helping me with the info about this wheel, so it seems this part is discontinued and pretty rare? So would you consider this a sweet find? I wonder who would buy this kit? and probably not many of them were sold so this part is pretty rare then. I am happy I found this steering wheel in Craigslist for a steal! I noticed all the carbon fiber parts on that page were made for the lightweight M3's and had red fibers also this wheel does not have red fibers in the weave. Thanks MikeTi I will be wrapping some of my own interior starting with the Roof liner and A pillars. | | | 05-03-2010, 12:21 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | Someone just offered me $250 for it shipped, Too bad I am not selling it just yet. | | | 05-03-2010, 12:54 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | that looks like an E46 stamp... if so, not sure it'll fit. The guy I bought it from said it came off of his 1998 328is. Also the date stamp is 1998 even before the E46 came out right. probably just part of the part number. I have yet to install it but it is exactly the same size as stock, well it is a stock steering wheel and I do not think E46's came with this type wheel so it confuses me a little but it should fit right in. BTW you ride looks & sounds sweet in your sig. I should be preparing for my s56 swap but the stock steering wheel is just to worn and sweat melted the leather from the previous owner. I just end up buying a lot of parts and nick nacks like this which end up piling up until I install everything at once. Still waiting on my OEM M3 front bumper and under tray and few other parts before installing. Covering my Roof-liner and A pillars with dry 2K Carbon Fabric without any epoxy for a nice dry look.
