Default Door panel speaker sizes

Simple question: what are the two sizes for the tweeters in the door panels? This is for the 10 speaker system.

I remember reading a huge write up on this site...do a search for it I think you will find it, unless it has been removed....

I found this in another post:

The car, likely, has the 10 speaker system. 3 way components up front and 2 ways in rear.

Front woofers are 5.25", rear are 4". i think all the tweeters are 1" and I'd guess the mids in the doors are 3" but Im not sure there.

Yes, I remember reading that post, but are both door tweeters 1"? It only confirmed that the top speaker is a 1' tweeter, though im not sure what the second one is. Is it the same size? It looks slightly larger.

Are you sure its not 3 1/2 inch midranges? Ive never heard of 3" sizes, and i cant find them even on crutchfield.com

Will standard 3 1/2 speakers fit in the door?

I am not sure it is just what someone else said...Try finding 4.5 inch speakers to replace the backs aswell Also, the 4.5" back speakers are a special type of speaker very rare and to replace very expensive...I think MBQuartz is the only company with replacement speakers...

Hmm, so a 4.5" speaker would fit closer to a 4T size than a 4"?

Also, can anyone confirm whether a 3.5" can fit in the door?

From what I have read a 4T is correct for the back...Still not sure about the 3.5....

I replaced the speakers in my back deck with 5.24" and 1" tweeter comp. set from polk audios momo series. First I needed something to make a bracket out of and came across on old street sign in the garage. I used the enclosure the factory speakers were in and trace the outline of the top to make sure I was cutting the metal to shape and drilling holes in the propper positions to fit in the original location. The final result was awesome. By looking in the back you would never know they were even there.

So you can retrofit other speakers in the back deck.
