I had no guns out, all were in the gun safe. I was so drunk I got Baker acted and got to spend a wonderful vacation in the high end mental ward down here. The place was so nice that when the Baker act was removed at 7:30 the next morning I choosed to stay on a volenteer basis until they kicked me out. I have choosen not to drink since I'm a alcoholic and I filed for divorce this last Monday. Not drinking I feel great and the divorce makes me smile when I think about it. We really have a toxic relationship and needed to divorce December 2009. Getting ready to do the head gasket on my car this week since it has been broken since June. Sorry for the delayed PM's and delay on shipping Jean's flashed DME. Just wanted to say I'm back and ready to be part of the 318it family again. I walked out with no shirt on and my pockets pulled out to show I was not a threat. Cops were real cool and didn't even cuff me on the ride to the mental ward. I would expect any police to come to a call for man with gun held up in house and drunk to come prepared for a shoot out. I had 4 of them with full gear and SKS or AR rifles, One with a shot gun. The police around here know me very well and walking out in shorts only with my pockets pulled out let them know I was unarmed and willing to do anything they asked. The cops here are very cool to me and I fully understand their concerns since they know my gun collection. If I was really crazy and lost it I could have squeezed off a head shot a block away from my house with the 30/30 but I'm not that kind of person. I've never be a violent drunk, just happy and stupid when drinking. I'm getting to old for this drinking crap and I have children to worry about now so it is AA meetings everyday and no drinking one day at a time or I will loose custody of my kids to foster care which will destroy me mentally. Just glad to have the divorce filed and a good plan moving forward. It will certinally be trying, but I suspect your kids are worth it. Be well. I seems you have many friends in the forum. Good on ya for doing something about it rather than pickling yourself. A good buddy of mine was happy to be able to remember his kids growing up rather than perpetually searching for the back of a case of beer. Last edited by DataTraveler; 08-27-2012 at 01:30 AM. I'm glad that it wasn't worse, just the fact that you cooperated with the cops probably made they're lives/work much easier for them Congrats on getting sober. __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
