My misfire is gone and i wish i would have figured out the this one part would have fixed everything and i mean it fixed a couple of issues. Here is my list of parts i have put in it to fix the idle Crank position sensor (CEL) Idle control Valve (cel) Temp sensor (cause my temp gauge would shoot down to zero when driving and i read that it could cause rough idle) Spark plugs (thought that could be it) Still rough idle and miss fire Met with Sean and Dave and they suggested a few parts Intake boot (replaced) Bosch plugs (replaced) Cracked hose (replaced) frustrated and still have miss fire and rough idle. Now out of Ideas i figure i am going to have to live with this. So i wanted to replace the CCV (crank case valve) cause i didn't like how it looked it looked like it was taped together with duct tape or something. So i ordered it on Monday and got it today. Well i was going to wait till i saw Sean and Dave this weekend to put it in but i couldn't wait so had to just do it real quick. Well wouldn't you know my misfire is gone and no rough idle and guess what my temp gauge doesn't shoot down to zero when driving. I am so excited and not embarrassed to have the car rocking back in forth at the stop light. And after further investigation of the old CCV it looks like the PO took all the guts out of it there is nothing in the old CCV. I am so excited i wanna go driving but i know i cant cause my tags are expired no the true test now will how will it do in emissions i will see on Saturday i am going to take it in Sorry for the long post | | | 01-20-2012, 03:06 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Broomfield,Colorado Posts: 664 | I am so excited the last part of my post doesn't even make sense | | | 01-20-2012, 03:08 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Thats great that you figured it out.
