I've had 3 E10s and an E28 (pg 84 of grassroots motorsports march 2011 - grm $2010 challenge), but no BMWs newer than the 80s. I'm in Illinois, but will travel pretty much anywhere in the cont. US for condition. | | | 04-19-2011, 01:46 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | the 95 sport model didn't come with the cosmetic stuff, only the club sport and later sport model did good luck with your search | | | 04-19-2011, 02:43 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | If you want a 95. You've picked the rarest of a rare car to want. Depending what sources you reference there were only somewhere between 275 and 325 clubsports produced. Good luck with the search. | | | 04-30-2011, 06:00 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Grayslake, IL Posts: 78 | I'm hoping it works out too. Whatever I come up with has to pass Mrs. Oldtin's aesthetics test. I'm on a project ban right now - but I do have some interesting trade fodder - 1963 triumph TR4, 1972 mgb gt (with ford 5 liter), 2002 triumph daytona 955, kawasaki 250 ninja cafe bike, 1985 porsche 911 targa or a 2005 jeep wrangler | | | 05-01-2011, 10:16 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Louisville, CO Posts: 5 | Quote: Originally Posted by oldtin My wife decided she wants a ti to save a little gas (she has a lifted jeep that gets about 10 mpg with a tail wind) - so I'm on the lookout for a 95 sport or club sport (if I understand it correctly - m42, obd I, seats, cosmetics, lsd, springs and sway bars?). I own a 2009 e92 335xi, but my wife drives it more than I do (except for weekends), and I want ~my~ own ~light~ DD car that I can put a cage in and have fun with at the track. I've been told only the Clubsports have a LSD. I need to do some searching in this forum and research this awesome car. Springs aren't as important to me, I'll probably try to find some coilovers for the car. | | | 05-02-2011, 02:01 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by aleckzandr I've been told only the Clubsports have a LSD. | the Clubsport and 95 sport model both came with LSDs, but it could also be ordered as an option on any 95 or early 96 ti | | | 05-06-2011, 07:07 PM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Louisville, CO Posts: 5 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak the Clubsport and 95 sport model both came with LSDs, but it could also be ordered as an option on any 95 or early 96 ti | Good to know.
