I have a query on the foglights switch for my 1998 318ti. The knob has a 2 position switch and it doesn't seem to make any difference except in position 1, a green light symbol appears and in position 2, the green light and an orange light appear. Can someone tell me what the difference is. The fog lights are on, if parking, or parking and low beam are on, but go off with high beam, which I believe is normal. This happens whether switch is position 1 or 2.

My guess is position 1 is front fog and position 2 are both front and rear.

I know in the US that fogs will go off when high beams are on.
