Question Injectors

what do you guys mean by lbs? Is that the pressure or what? If so, what is the stock m44 injectors lbs? What upgrade can you do with injectors for more performance, get more lbs kind or what? What kind of injectors can i swap it with for more performance? About how much HP gain will i get? IF im completely wrong with what im saying, please let me know. And is there a injector upgrage for performance and how much hp gain is it? I hear people say put 42lbs injectors, but i have no idea what that even means.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

It is a measure of the maximum flow rate, in pounds per hour.

If the injector maximum flow rate is changed (IE bigger injectors are installed) the ECU must be re-mapped in order to compensate for the increased fuel flow.

If you have 20# injectors now, at 1/2 flow you flow 10#/hr of fuel. If you install 24# injectors, at 1/2 flow you are now flowing 12#/hr; and extra 2# per hour! (the ECU will open the amount it thinks is right based on the known maximum flow...) If the air flow is not adjusted to compensate, you will be far from the (correct my memory if wrong) 14.8:1 air : fuel ratio. You will be WAY rich, and loose lots of power. Both too rich and too lean not only emits severely, but also is far from maximum power, as well as maximum efficiency.

14.7:1 for gasoline

as long as you don't increase displacment or go FI then there's no reason to go with bigger injectors, the factory ones should support all the NA hp you're likely to make.
