Little RTV on the radio trim should fix one. The door lock grommet is rattling. It's a cheap replacement-but a month wait to get the part from Deutschland. So a little RTV in that too. And a few new door panel clips and some cut up innertube to replace the foam rubber isolators on those... Then there is a huge clunk that I haven't figured out yet. Maybe a rear shock mount or the exhaust. __________________ No more ti. | | | 11-07-2011, 12:57 AM | #1790 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | My exhaust clunks like crazy around 2000-2500rpm when going in a corner but only when it rains or snows. Something happens to the hangers and they stretch out. It's really annoying. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 11-07-2011, 02:09 AM | #1791 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri My exhaust clunks like crazy around 2000-2500rpm when going in a corner but only when it rains or snows. About to weld the header to the cat. I have a left over poly hanger from my mazda, I might redo the one mount on the muffler to use that. I've also had the one rear mount get ripped off the frame when I had the stock exhaust, also broke the header (back to the lack of a cat bracket) Glad I can fabricate and have a mig welder. __________________ No more ti. | | | 11-07-2011, 05:29 PM | #1792 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Michigan Posts: 183 | Had the fender and side pulled out so my son could drive it an put gas in it after someone hit him last week. It's really a bummer cause its such a clean car for a 98. Anybody have a rear quarter panel and passenger door let me know. | | | 11-08-2011, 09:31 PM | #1793 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Enjoyed a rattle free commute to work in the ti. Now just need to address the clunk. Then maybe some M3 strut mounts and an alignment. __________________ No more ti. | | | 11-08-2011, 09:59 PM | #1794 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | Put a brand new secondary air pump in the 332ti. I hate all that emissions crap. I'm not against trying to have clean air, but there's got to be a better/cheaper way to get there. | | | 11-08-2011, 10:01 PM | #1795 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | put it in storage on the bright side I managed to get my old Subaru running again after I left it sitting since last spring, never forget to put fuel stabilizer in a car that you won't be driving | | | 11-09-2011, 08:33 AM | #1796 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Limped it home 10 miles.
