Default fender bender with truck = fail

About a month ago I was 2 blocks from getting on the 110 and this guy in a Tacoma (who I had so nicely stopped to let into traffic one block back) suddenly slams on the breaks. I can only imagine that he had thought that he missed his left turn. Wasn't ready for that at all as he didnt 'slow down' and traffic was flowing freely.

Anyway, rear ended him going say 5mph? The truck was fine if I think there was only a little silver streak left on the bumper. My hood is now about an inch lower, paints a bit chipped and the upper lip above the grill is cracked a little bit.

Looking for best course of action here, already been calling junkyards but Im finding out that I pretty much need to go in person and hope that they have what I need when I go. The thing is I havent really had the time to drive out and check since Ive been so preoccupied with classes.

Can you guys tell me what hoods will fit on my 97 ti? I just found this one on cl http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...906089029.html but I dont think an m3 hood will fit? At least coupes wont? Please prove me wrong lol

Any sedan hood will fit, coupes will not. Doesn't matter if it's an m3 or not.

If you can wait 4-6 weeks (maybe less...) I have a spare hood on my '95ti that I'm presently stripping. I just don't want to pull the hood until I'm actually ready to yank the motor/trans.

sorry for not getting back, i guess my gmail was redirecting my subscriptions to junk =/

this would help me out a TON, zoner. everything under the hood seems to be intact, havent had any issues driving it since this happened. given that i have a pretty packed school schedule this month, the wait isnt at all a problem.

but it is very true that it does hurt to look at the front end. i tend to cringe about it, makes me so sad. i have break this week so maybe ill see if i can devote some time to fix up some other things in the meantime.

yeurp our cars are identical to the sedans from the nose to the A pillar, and bummer about the hood, its always painful to look at a car you love after its been damaged
