Default Oil Filter Housing Gasket Problem

I just replaced my oil filter housing gasket. When I got it all back together and filled up with oil again, it started leaking heavily when I started the car. Anyone had this problem? Looks like Im going to have to do it over again.

Did you replace the bush and gasket or just the gasket?

I did both. It looks like it is coming from the top where the bush is. Maybe I didn't push it all the way in. It is literally pouring out.

Hmm, isn't the "bush" actually a one way valve? Maybe you put it in backwards and it is flowing the wrong way.

That sucks man, its a pita just doing it once, I feel for you.

There is nothing worse than buttoning up a job only to have it go horribly wrong. Not a night passes when working on a big car job that I do not worry about this very issue. I truly do feel for you, and hope that you resolve your problems soon!
