UPDATE** I think I may have changed my mind again:/ I can't seem to decide. Now Im thinking about fiberglassing the 10's into the spare space in the hatch sides and keep my back seats afterall. Tomorrow Im going to start whichever one I choose and Ill take pics of the install as it goes down.. so either way ill have to make up my mind by tomorrow.

my sub enclosure, i want to be just like that one that another memeber of the board did, but it appears he isnt active anymore...

i have two tens, so id need one for each side though...

it would still look a lot cleaner than a sub box just sitting in the back

ps...cardboard = good idea!

thanks!

So I have been working hard at it and this is my second day. I took pics yesterday of what I got done, here they are so far. The last pic is the Enclosure wrapped with the resin coated fleece and is showing the top portion of the enclosure, mainly so you can see the curves to get an idea of how it will look. I will also be duplicating with idea to the other Hatch space aswell

I think that'll look sick once its done, assuming its done right. And looking at your guys' cars, theres no reason to see why it wouldnt be done right lol. I had a similar idea, but not the skills to do something like that. I need to make something up, because I just have a box sitting in the back of my trunk, with the subs sticking out, amp, and cap. If interested, its at:
http://www.angelfire.com/hiphop2/joescards/bmw.html

The sub setup on the side doesnt look bad at all either. I was thinking more of something like painting all my trimmings an alaska b lue inside, and then making a sort of fiberglass encasement. Maybe even taking out the back carpet, fiberglassing, body filling, and painting that alaska blue also. That may be a little much though.

If you guys have any do it yourself jobs, id like to hear em. I havent done much to this bmw yet, Ive only had it for about 3 months. So anything I could do to make it a little more unique, would be good. Even though Ive only seen one other TI in fresno, and it was beat up lol.

i also kinda like the idea of having the subs in the floor like your first pic...

im assuming you have to remove the tool kit/spare tire and everything to make room for it though...i tend to find those tools handy sometimes...

anyway, i posted the pic above of what my goal is...but right now im still not sure how to do it right...gonna rock out some card board and try and construct a model...

Hey I'm still active user just been super busy at work. Gee using my sub woofer enclosure pic as an attachment. I guess it's ok but you can give me credit. ;}

It looks like you enclosure is going to stick out 6" or so more than mine. Nice progress.
