reving to 1500? Does it stay there or fluctuates? It it stays at 1500, you may want to check your throttle positioning sensor, your throttle plate if its closed fully. How about your AFM?

it might help if you post what all you had to replace after the accident... might help narrow it down.

If we knew what the extent of the damage was and if anything had to be tinkered or replaced under the hood, it could be something as simple as the throttle cable needing an adjustment or maybe even a vacuum leak.

the only internal part which was changed was the air box which broke, the rest was the hood and grill panel and the lights...wht it did was push the radiator back and broke its frame...someone told me i cudve broken a vacum or smthn..how much do they cost?

It'll be cheaper to replace the line than paying someone the labour to narrow it down... lol

And that all depends on which vacuum line has a leak, they are all their own part.

Question,
does it idle at 1500? or bob up and down between idle and 1500?

and other than that, how does it drive? as far as going through the gears and whatnot?

FWIW, you say you got it fixed, I assume by a shop that was paid for with insurance $$$, I would take it right back there and get it fixed for nothing.

I had a similar problem, I fixed it by replacing the crankcase intake valve. I thought my car was acting up again later (not as bad of revving) and it turned out that the floor mat was pushing down the gas pedal slightly all the time and the computer was trying to compensate. Either of those two could be it but Id assume its the crankcase intake valve since it fluctuates so much and you said it acts like it wants to die.
