I was a bit pissed having drilled two holes in the bumper to put those screws in, until I remembered I have a giant 11" crack in the bumper and it needs to be replaced anyway __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 12-02-2011, 07:25 PM | #1835 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Got my order from bimmerworld...With the wrong front bushings. Can you tell my family like the Prius? LOL. Put the snows on the Mini last night and did an oil change. Just got the first snow of the season last night but didn't stick to the ground. __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | 12-03-2011, 01:50 PM | #1837 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: Lancaster, PA Posts: 295 | just change the plugs and my does she run smoother __________________ Aerodynamics are for those who can not build engines | | | 12-03-2011, 08:51 PM | #1838 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2011 Location: San Francisco Posts: 15 | Ducts! Many of the ducty things in the front of my '97 318ti are missing, so I ordered some from eBay. The one that goes in front of the radiator, the one for under the chin, and the brake cooling ducts. I'll probably also need all kinds of clips and things … nothing that wire ties can't solve. The bumper has to come off to do this, so I might as well add fog lights while I'm in there. | | | 12-03-2011, 11:17 PM | #1839 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Enjoyed tossing it around last night with the new hiem joint endlinks on the front and the poly rear swaybar bushings. Now just need the bushings for the front bar! It's almost at a point where I'm content with the handling.. __________________ No more ti. | | | 12-04-2011, 01:17 AM | #1840 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2011 Location: San Francisco Posts: 15 | Glue! I reglued the door clips on the driver side door. I got one of those little double-syringes of resin and hardener, the kind specified for plastic and steel and quick set. When I removed the clips from the door, I wrote the clip number and orientation on the inside of the door panel with a felt marker. I put about a teaspoon of mixed glue onto a clip, then smooshed the clip into its glue-puddle on the door. Then I rummaged around in my screw bucket for appropriate screws for the top and bottom ends of the door handle. The previous owner … wasn't so good about that kind of stuff. Rejigger it all back into place, whack the clips into their holes, screw down the door handles, and tra-la! A solid, non-rattly door. | | | 12-04-2011, 01:43 AM | #1841 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | Eric's Tire and Rim Shop is now OPEN! Assembled the Tennsco 3-tier tire rack and loaded it up. Sean should now have a bit more room around his car to work and I don't have tires and rims everywhere (yey!). Eric's Tire and Rim Shop is now open! The Harbor Freight tool box is also loaded up, so at least a good portion of my tools are in the garage now instead of being splayed out all over the floor in the basement. I'm planning to get some nice metal pegboard on which I should be able to hang the rest. That way everything will be in the garage either on the pegboard or in the tool chest. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 12-04-2011, 03:04 AM | #1842 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | looks awesome Eric...good job! i swept snow off of my Mustang today...does that count? and, i drove Cindy Lou's 330cic on icy/snow covered streets for the first time in 4 winters. the snow tires she has on that car are pretty nice...no slides. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 12-05-2011, 05:00 AM | #1843 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | Eric (aka Stabby): Thanks for posting your pics.
