Congrats on the sale! Now that it's final, I'll say that I thought $250 was ridiculous for used springs. I wanted to say something earlier, but I held it until the sale was over and done with out of respect for the forum rules. In fact, when I first clicked on the thread and seen that you were selling them for $150, I thought it was a fair price and that's the only reason I offered help identifying which springs they actually were. Then you raised the price a hundred bucks and I thought f_ck, this guys smoking crack, lol. Especially since they sell NEW for $222 all day long on ebay:

Anyway FWIW, I'm glad they sold and both parties are happy. In the future, lets not spoil other peoples for sale threads with lowball offers and price arguments. Those issues need to be discussed through PM's or Steven will close the thread and/or possibly remove the entire for sale section. We've been through this before, but in case you guys haven't read the rules, here ya go:

Yeah $250 was crazy high! I wouldn't have paid that. I'm sure H&R sports have changed hands for less money, but I got them for less money than I could have on Ebay, and someone got to clear out some space from the garage so all is good!

For Sale posts are vital please keep them going!

I can understand the initial price of $250 CDN if they are that new...

when he bought them, after shipping and the currency conversion, they were probably closer to $350 CDN... mine sure were.
So if they were almost brand new, I understand he was probably just trying to make most of his money back.

If I was still rocking a 4cyl and wanted to find springs in Canada, I would have paid him almost $250 shipped...

You guys don't realize the shipping costs and lack of value in the Canadian dollar... but luckily the dollar is on the rise again. It fell below $ .80 cents over the winter.

I feel ya Philly and it just goes to show that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. I've bought and sold springs for much less and I've seen them sell for much more. In the end, it's not our position to say what something should cost, it's the sellers.

That's why I didn't say anything. I just happened to click on the thread as soon as it was posted, noticed the price was fair @ $150 and then came back a few minutes later to see that it was raised to $250. IMO it seemed as though the seller posted the thread, then seen all the interest from the immediate inquiries and decided to raise his price.

FWIW, the springs looked clean in the pics, but technically they were NOT just "test fitted" as the seller implied. Technically they are used, very little but used none the less. I'm sure they don't come with the same warranty that they would if one was to purchase them from a vendor. That's still irrelevant, the seller has the right to ask whatever he wants and we have the option to pass up the deal if we don't think it's good enough. Any issues regarding pricing should be discussed through PM's.

I sell plenty of parts on the forums and honestly, I try to get as much as I can for them, lol. Then other times, I'll hook up friends and let things go for dirt cheap. I recently got put in TO on bf.c because some guy came into a thread and said I was asking too much for one of my items. I did some searching and found out he was selling a similar item for almost double, so I called him out on it. The wonderful moderators there decided to put me in time out since he was a vendor and they had his back. Even though he was in the wrong.

That being said, this isn't bf.c. We're better than that and we need to respect the forum by keeping our community a friendly place where people can help eachother without all of the drama.
